Carb issues
OK so bought an 86 f150 4.9 300 6,5 month ago , it has had a 2 barrel carb from a 78 dodge in it and it's been running fine until the power brake booster went out ..I continued to drive it fine with a small vaccum leak but now suddenly it doesn't want to stay idling and stalls when I throw er in neutral or come to a stop in neutral , starts back up fine , new battery, new solenoid,new fuel filter, new gas tank, alternator is fine, I do hear a vaccum leak at the back of this carburator now since this issue arose, anyway wondering what some recommendations would be to replace this 2barrel carb with would be? Thanks!

Can you post up a picture or two of the setup so we know what you got.
Never heard of using a Dodge carb on a 300 motor before.
Might want to test for the lek by spraying carb cleaner there and if RPM change you got a vacuum leak. May just need a gasket?
