carb problem
I have a 1983 Ford Bronco with a 300 6 in it. For the past week I have been having problems with the carb (Carter YFA 1 bbl.) When I start it up everything is fine for about 2 minutes. Then gas starts leaking heavily out of the middle area of the carb over the manifold. I turn off the engine and it continues to slowly drip out of the front and back areas of the carb. I cannot pinpoint where the leak is coming from or what is causing the leak. I have installed new gaskets and fuel filter and I have tightened up every bolt and screw but it continues to leak. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this? I have checked the float and it is fine. Thanks.

carb problem
'Sounds like a problem with the "feedback" carb which came out in '83. I've read a few posts about problems associated with it. Sorry, I can't be of much help other that to recommend a search here for "feedback carbs", "carter", "1bbl"....
