Did some searching and couldn't find anything specific to my problem.

I rebuilt the carb a few weeks ago and I am having problems with it idling and running. I set all adjustments to what the carb kit instructions said to do. It acts like a vaccum leak, but I have checked everything I can think of with propan and found no leaks. I even cleaned and tightend connections. When it trys to idle the RPM's will increase, then decrease and keep repeating in a cycle till it eventually dies. I tried adjusting the mix screw and it helped some, but didn't make a complete fix. Even running at partial throttle it will do the same RPM cycle then die even sooner. I don't know what else to do, I even went through the carb again and checked all adjustments. Please help, this is really frustrating! Thanks!
I ran just fine before the rebuild. Then the carb started to leak gas, that's why I rebuilt it. My brother and I thought maybe the PO had messed with the mixture and other setting to compensate for a vaccum leak and I just haven't found all of them yet. Could it be something else?
Take each vac line and plug it off at the tree and see if you can isolate the vac leak.
But logically it should be a problem with removing and installing the carb or rebuilding the carb.
I would look closely at the float level.
4x4- I'm doubting it's a float issue, I double checked it when I went back through it the other day. I'll go through the vaccum tree like you mentioned and see if it's there. Thanks for the advice!
It was worse before. Blowing black smoke. I bought the truck for a dollar as a non running truck. My Grandson wanted one of my trucks so I decided to give this one to him. It has been an ordeal to get it to this point (running) I did contact the carb rebuild-er today and it is under warrenty so I am sending it back tomorrow for them to look at it.
