Vss

I am wanting to send my vss out for repairs , does the truck still run with it out? I know the windows will not work so I will have to deal with that

How would one repair a vehicle speed sensor (VSS?) And how would that affect the windows?

Are you talking about the GEM or body control module I think it's called on the later models? If so I couldn't say for sure because I've never tried it but I would be surprised if the truck was usable without it. I think most of the gauge cluster goes through it, window and door locks do, interior lighting, heck maybe even some climate control and anti theft do as well.
