I don't have daytime running lights but I wouldn't think that would make a difference since daytimes are just your headlights turned on.

True, but with the daytime running lights (I'll call them DRL from now on), the current (75% of the current that runs the lights at night) comes through the same circuit as the fog lamps (I don't have any DRL right now because fuse #9 is blown, but when I turn the lights on, they work, because it's through a different circuit). The current has the same destination(the lights) but different paths (fuse/circuits). That said, the fogs aren't on at the same time as the DRL, so I wonder if I just turned the lights/fogs on quickly enough to create a spike that blew the fuse. Long story shortened...I feel better about using the 9005's. Thanks everyone!
