OK OK I'm sold
Well I just ordered the silverstars for the headlamps and fogs should be here in a few weeks. I'll take some before and after pics when I install them.

I must be easily taken in by the "pretty white colored light" and I'm sure the wires on my truck are about to burst into flames however, my Silverstars are brighter than the stock bulbs.

OBTW, I put some of those big off-road PIAA driving lights on my truck for when it's really dark and scary. You can see them in my gallery.

ok, which ones are yall running for the fogs? I heard the 9005's and then someone said another type, i just don't remeber which. They said the 9005's have more wattage.. is that still safe?

I would love to have the fogs match my headlights, but just need to be certain of which bulbs to buy.

thanks

So no problems with the 9005's in the fogs? No over heating ect? I'm going to try to locate the 9005's monday morning. I live in a rural area. It would be nice to see the deer before its to late.

THANKS!

ya that was my problem too, I almost hit two deer about 2 weeks ago. I let my truck run the other night while my wife sat in it for atleast an hour-she's pregnant- and the lens was warm but not too warm, no warmer then the headlights. They work great, I actually turned them down a little.

I would think he means he tilted the lamps down so they are focused lower...

I did both the 9005's in the fog lamps (since we RARELY have fog here in DFW AND the PIAA's - you can see them in the gallery on the bull bar...

Did anyone who upgraded from 9145's to 9005's have any issues with fuses? I immediately burned through the 15A fuse that was in there. As soon as I turned on the new fogs for the first time. I'm nervous about boosting up to a 20A, given the fire warning in the owner's manual (about replacing fuses with higher Ampage). Has anyone else blown a fuse while upgrading? Thanks!

Thanks for your responses. One more question. Do either of you have the daytime running lamps? I notice they are on the same circuit, and maybe they're putting me over the 15A limit? I'll try it again with a fresh fuse.
