Glovebox lock

So I’ve got new door keys. And I don’t have the original key for the glovebox. I was able to lock it with the new key by pulling the key up. And then i have to shake it around and stuff to get it to unlock again for a few minutes. Is there a way to make it work properly with my new door key?

I just use two random small keys on my key rings to lock unlock glove box on my 1995 F150.

I think ignition / door keys are too big?

Switch the tumblers around to fit the new key
Seek the help of a locksmith and they might have more tumblers you may need
