So I replaced the Ball joints the other day, and in the process some fluid leaked out after I removed the axle shaft. I assume that's normal.
But I Figure what a good time to replace the fluid. I couldn't get a good answer from the dealer, not even they were able to find the right fluid, but after they clicked around they came up with some "75W-140" synthetic rear axle lubricant.
I'm not paying attention to the rear axle wording even though it's for the front, But what do you all think about the weight. Is this what you would use??
I need to verify because ford didn't seem sure.
I believe your truck should either be 80w-90 or 75w-90 in the front. 75w-140 is a bit tick
