rear axle fluid ?

Hearing a little clicking/slipping in rearend could be the fluid breaking down? I am going to change fluid, does ford require synthetic. I have 01 f250 v10 SD

Just make sure you use the additive if you have a LS rear.

Yes, synthetic is factory fill.

I take you have a limited slip? You could use a fluid that already contains the friction modifier.

If it was me it depend on how many miles are on the truck. I changed mine at 90K and it was do but my truck has always pulled heavy loads.
