I have had this truck since new, I have pulled my 24 foot car hauler lots never any outstanding events in memory to cause the leaf springs to break.
I have recently been hooking up a dump trailer trailer to the back of the truck with a 710 lb tongue weight.
I noticed when the trailer has a load the truck was squatting a little more than usual.
When I pulled the wheels off i was surprised to see 2 leaves broken on the passenger side and one on the drivers.
Any recommendations on upgraded spring packs from Ford ? or get a custom pack made from spring shop? I am not concerned about a stiff ride, as the truck is in retirement mode
I want a safe and level ride. The side view of truck and trailer is with 3900 kgs of gravel in trailer
want a safe secure level ride.

It happens on trucks that work, nothing out of the norm. Just replace with a factory pack and be on your way. Every oil change I tap the springs with a hammer to check. Had many springs over the years crack right in the middle and stay together until tapped with a hammer and then it separates enough to see.
Look at Rockauto as there are many choices for rears from light to HD. I cant imagine what Ford would get for a set if they even still stock any that old.
Husky stuff is absolute garbage IMO. They shipped me a set of u-bolts that were effectively pre-stripped due to poor manufacturing and a friend put their springs on the rear of a '99 XJ. They were noticeably lighter and cheaper than OEM
I'd try for a custom pack or anything other than Husky.
Thanks Guys that's the feed back I wanted to hear good to know that Husky is less than up to Parr WWR
Local truck spring shops want big truck stuff not a dinky 3/4 ton
I will check out Helwig.
I ordered a set from the local Ford dealer slightly more coin but freight included. Less than rock auto and frt option.
I will post pictures of the optional Ford extra leaf option when they get here.
,I had to move truck and trailer while waiting for the parts to come in so I put some 18 Inch stock Ford rims and tires on to ck fitment and turning issues.
Looking at the attached picture I would not suspect it had 3 broken springs. This picture is with an empty trailer but a 710 lb tongue weight.
The other picture I took the trailer off to take back into the shop for spring swap.
Again Its no wonder I didn't know there was broken springs, looks normal to me.
Springs arrived at the dealer today so I will pick them up in the am.
The spacer plate under spring is 2 Inch on mine, they have a 4 inch in stock for $95.00
I picked up the optional spring packs from Ford used for my serial number, they are definably beefier, however now I need to buy the 4 bolt on the frame pads for the upper overload spring so if the truck settles to those levels the upper spring will have something to rest on hold the body up

You might check ebay for the overload brackets/pads. I recently got some used for a 2nd Gen Ram on ebay. I tried looking locally and was ready to bring a port-a-torch, but no luck. Pretty sure Ford uses bolts, or at least they do '08+ (I think??)
We got the old ones removed and I have them matched up to the new ones and everything matches. I need to transfer the upper shackle over to the new set. The extra leaf I hope does the trick as far as when loaded.
