Bought a new bed cam ($40) and slapped it on only took 5 min. Now the cargo cam is working (yeah). Missing the center dotted line but i can deal with it.
Well here we are back in camera land on my 2021 F350. I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting up with Zoodad and have him work his magic putting dashed lines back in the picture and completely updating and customizing my trucks computer and dash readouts.
However, I now have a separate issue that has just started with the tailgate camera.
When I put the truck in reverse the picture on the dash is solid black, however all the dash lines show up to let you know which direction the truck is going in reverse but your looking at a solid black picture.
I guess I'm going to try a new camera there and see if that works but before I do that I was wondering if anyone else has run across this?
Thank you for all the info. This has been so helpful. I have the same problem. I ordered a new camera and a FORScan adapter today. I am downloading FORScan tonight. Is there a tutorial or does anyone have specific instructions on how to fix the white line/magnifier issue in FORScan?
Hi, first post here. After searching the internet for a solution to my camera problem I found this forum, just an amazing amount of information! I tried searching for my problem but didn’t find anything similar. Anyhow, the camera in the 3rd brake light that looks at the bed has stopped working. I use this camera a lot for hitching up my fifth wheel trailer, and it’s worked just fine until recently. Lately when I put the truck in reverse to hitch, once the backup camera activates I try to select the bed camera and nothing happens. Instead, it freezes up the camera system completely - I can’t select any other cameras at all. Putting the truck in drive the screen continues to display whatever camera it was last showing. I have to shut the truck off and wait a bit before the system goes back to normal. After a fresh startup, I have tried changing the camera display to other views and they all work fine - until I try to switch to the bed camera, then the whole thing locks up again. Could it be a bad camera? I also noticed that I don’t seem to be getting any OTA software updates, it’s Sync 4 version 134 which hasn’t ever changed that I know of, so maybe a software issue? Anything I can try here before I break down and take it to the dealer? I just hate the thought of leaving the truck there for weeks or months while they wait for a part or something.
My truck is a 2022 F-450 Platinum with Sync 4, bone stock. TIA for any input!
did you get your bed camera working? My 2024 f250 bed camera is also not working. I saw the 24,000 trucks recalled for the issue. Mine isn’t included…?

isn't your 2024 covered under warranty? My 2022 has been fixed 3x under warranty and IS included in the recall. The recall I got claims it's a software update but 2x my camera was replaced and 1x the software update and it did the same thing everytime it fails.

hi. TY for the response… yes 1 more year of warranty.. just visited dealer… looking like a will be going at least 3 times.. appointment next week.. ( just to confirm I imagine).. but don’t care for local dealership.. wish they would have permanent fix b4 warranty expires.. way too many truck owners with the same issues..
do appreciate your reply. Thanks. And I will see where it goes from here…
