I have experimented over the years with different coolant, used charged and non charged coolant filters and everyone has an opinion of what is Best. Today was let us see what is hiding inside and this greeted me when I cut it open. Been a little over due on the filter change.......

I actually went the other way. With the Rotella Ultra ELC, I have never seen any more particles. Just wanted a bit more room, so off came the filter!

 

Next time I change coolant, going with Rotella, filter stays though. Home made and handy before kits were even offered.
