Exclamation using a 73-77 radiator support

Guys, I have a 73-77 radiator support that I would like to use for my 67. But, I know the light mounting hardware is different, and I'm wondering if the headlights will be in the right position with the 68 grill I have. So, wondering, for you guys that have done this, is that the case?

Thanks!

What about the headlight buckets, and what-not? I know the 73 and up use a different setup.

I used a 74 support, but not sure I follow, unless the earlier grills are different, but the headlight buckets and all associated parts attach to the grill.

You are correct sir, on the 67 to 72 the lights mount to the grill. I do believe you will need to add a couple of holes though. First is for the hood latch, second is for the lower grill support tabs. Or at least that is what I remember.

Ah, that's why I'm confused!! Okay, it's been 11 years since I took the truck apart, so I was thinking they attached to the core support!!! Thanks for setting me straight, guys!

There are TWO different 1967/72 radiator supports.

There are TWO different 1973/78 radiator supports with round headlamps.

Both of the above: The radiator support used with the Super Cooling radiator has a larger opening radius.

Super Cooling radiator: 26 1/4" wide x 24 11/16" high.

Standard, xtra cooling and A/C radiators: 26 1/4" wide x 19 3/4" high.

The fan shrouds are also different.
