burp coolant sys

burp coolant sys

Hi Y'all newbe I just put in a mishimoto coolant filter drained 2 gal out but only 1 gal 1 qt went back in have 3 qt to go, got it up to temp 2 times now ,drove it and It only took 1 qt still need to get the other 2 qts back in
how the hell do you burb this thing? anyone else run into this ?

17 years of trucks.
Usually three levels trims per year.
Several engine choices for each level trim per year.

Do the math yourself.

Likely why I see 12 looks and nobody typed any responses.

How about some pics? Did you mount the filter lower than the coolant tank to ensure it stays full at all times? How did you plumb it in? is it on a bypass circuit or are you trying to full flow? Did you turn on the heat to ensure it floods the heater core?

Vacuum fill is the only way to evacuate all of the air out of the cooling system. All of the tool truck vendors sell such a device.

you use a vacuum

either a motorized one like the type used in ac unti servicing

or…one of those Venturi vacuums that operate with pressurized air.

Hi yes lower then coolant tank, heater hose before the valve, yes heater was on . It's all good now just took a couple of days of cooling all the way down over night. Thanks for your help.
