Auxito LED bulbs adjustment

Question for the people that installed the Auxito bulbs…

The bulbs must be installed North-South, with the frontmost led up. The problem I have found is that the main “collar” (the part common to halogen bulbs) does have three “prongs” but they don’t seem to be symmetrical and therefore it goes in only one way; then the led can be rotated but only about 170 degrees, not a full half turn. The practical result is that I can only have it about 10 degrees from vertical, which I’m sure is not ideal for the beam shape.

How did you solve this???

Not sure about that brand but BeamTech bulbs can be rotated in the collar. They use a set screw to hold them in the correct orientation.

I don't know how many different variations there are now, but there were 3 different auxito bulbs that fit these trucks back when they were giving them out here for review. The style that I had for review don't have any kind of angle adjustment, but they are straight up and down, or at least straight enough that I can't see an issue. They were ungodly bright though. On the road, in the ditch, in semi driver's eyes. Even if you got your bulbs straight, you're never going to get a great pattern, at least that's the experience that I had.

I get flashed all the freaking time but I haven’t done anything about it. I wasn’t sure if there’s anything to do about it or just replace them but it’s getting old getting flashed all this thing in time.

I’ll probably just deal with mine for now. Since getting old, I’m not driving at night very often. There have been a few flashes I got that were very well timed and I understand each time it happens but I did hear you can get a spacer to help with the aiming. I’m not sure what spacer or from who but I’ll look for it soon

The first day I installed them I was getting flashed but then I realized that the bulb has to be in the right position or it will invert low and high beam. I had them upside down so I had the high beam out all the time...
To be correct you have to look at the two LED cells on each side, you will notice that one is more in front than the other. The one in front had to go up, and this is my problem, I don't seem to be able to have them "straight up" but just about ten degrees to the side...

There's a screw adjuster for the whole assembly, lube the gears in the adjuster before you try and move it they are only plastic and easily broken. One per side, front edge of the engine compartment under the hood. Park against a wall and move each side down the same amount.

On a 2017 that I bought new, when I went to adjust the headlights after installing Beamtech I discovered that the truck came off the dealer's lot with the headlights set at max height. Had to adjust them down quite a bit.

I found the solution.

Put the bulbs that the headlights were design for back in. Aim the lights properly. This way you can see without blinding the driver of the 4,000-9,000lb vehicle driving at you.
