I just got a set of LED tail replacement bulbs from HR. I put them in, and the bottom bulbs in both laps are on bright and stay that way. The upper flash and function appropriately. I thought I could install them without the load resistors by disabling the outage setting in the BCM. Has anyone else experienced this prior to configuring the BCM or putting load resistors in? I have turned the bulbs around and moved the bulbs between top and bottom. When I put the standard bulbs in, they function correctly. Thanks in advance.
Haven't heard of this one yet. Every bulb in the truck has been changed to LED in my late 2017 with no problems. No resistors in mine, only the outage setting adjusted in FORScan. My tail/brake/turn signal bulbs came from SuperBright LED and the reverse lights came from HR.
I'd contact HR and see what their take on it is. At least the tails are much easier and faster to access compared to the headlights so hopefully it'll be a quick fix for you.

Thanks, I have a call into them. I am not real sure what is going on. I thought Id do a BCM reset in FORSCAN and see if that resolves it. I don't think it will because the incandescent bulbs work fine.
I pulled the DTCs from the BCM and I am getting open to battery DTCs with the LEDs installed. Even with "no outage" programmed, the lower LEDs are giving the error. I put the incandescent lamps in and there are no issues. Hopefully HR knows what to do. I don't want to modify the wires so we will see what happens, but it seems they aren't giving enough resistance.
There is a code that you can put into the BCM to change your setup for LED. I'm guessing it's the same one for the hyper flash issue. I think Forscan can do it from the wizard menu.
Spoke with HR this morning. They said try with resistors in place. I did and it works. I have my lamps set to no outage and ABM set to no outage. I also turned LED to stop turn, and none of those settings worked. Putting load resistors in did.

Funny how things can sometimes vary from truck to truck. Glad you got it fixed anyway!
