Seems like all of the 460 guys are going with Mad Dog fenderwell exit headers these days. They're expensive and require modifications so be prepared. If you have a highboy it will need at least a 3" lift.
I have been waiting for my headers for about a month from l&l. Their tubing bender went out and they had to have a gear custom machines and then hardened. They said they will be resuming production next week
I have beaten this dead horse a couple times, so what's one more gonna hurt. What have you done to your engine that is going to "require" headers? If you have a mild build (i.e. RV cam, aluminum intake w/ 4V carb, no head work) then your manifolds are just fine. People think that adding headers you are going to get an extra 25 hp and gain 5 mpg, they are so sadly mistaken. Now, if you have installed a big lopey cam, air-gap intake, huge carb, aluminum heads and so on, then yes, get them fender exit Maddogs and let her sing. Headers and the required new exhaust on a mostly stock engine are a big waste of time and money. Not the mention the cab noise increase. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mean to talk you out of them. By all means, support the companies that are still making parts for our trucks. But rather, just think about it and ask yourself if you really need them. When it's all said and done, you're looking at $1500 plus for exhaust.
