Hello all. I've got a 96 f150 I'm in the process of building with a mild 358w and a c6. I'd like to retain my factory colum shifter from the 4r70w it had. I can find the factory shift cable for a e4od but I'm having trouble finding the cable as well as the bracket to hold it to the transmission for a C6. Or is it literally the same thing on an E4od? I'm searching under f250 and f350 as the aero nose 150s didn't get them.
I know for a fact 92-97 f250 and 350s were offered with a c6 as I've seen several before this undertaking. but haven't found any in the pull it yards around where I live to rob them off of.
if anyone of the wizards here have a part number for both the bracket and shifter cable I'd be extremely grateful. I'm not opposed to a floor shifter but I'd rather have a factory appearance inside.
The E4OD is based on the C6, so I would think you could make that work. You are correct that you must have 92-97 since they are cable-operated.
I think the bracket that attaches to the trans is more important than the cable because I converted my son's '95 F150 from 4R70W to E4OD when I converted it to 4x4 and I used the 4R70W cable with no problems.
