You can probably make it work, but I would have EVTM's for both years handy.
The cab connector is the same for both years, but you may have to repin a few wires. Ford did make subtle changes each year.
I think 91 is the year they switched from the frame mounted hi pressure fuel pump to hi pressure in tank pumps. That will cause an incompatibility, but it can be resolved.
The base truck is an 87. I pulled all the old wiring out, because everything was cracking and fraying, and now I'm in the rebuild phase.
I think I'm going to use a 91 cab harness and add a ground/power/scavenged plug to the new rail pump I put on a couple years back. Any thoughts on that? Can the rail pump share power with the in tank pumps?
