Not starting.
Not starting.
I was only getting one click from the starter solenoid. I changed starter solenoid and battery and starter . I’m not sure what is going on but ever since I changed out all of those parts when I try to start the truck it kills the battery. I have to just disconnect negative terminal and reattach then the truck has power again
The need to fiddle with the battery cables is a sure sign of a bad connection between the battery and the cable. Do you have those 'repair' battery terminals on your cables? Those leave people stranded. You may also try to clean up your battery terminals and cables with a brush. As for your 'single click' problem, that is usually because of a faulty cable between the starter solenoid and the starter OR a ground cable between the engine block and the battery.
