[size=16px]hi all. this is my first time posting it maybe a little long..[/size][size=16px]So 2 weeks ago i finally did the studs and head gasket on my 6.0 L all when smoothly finished and started driving the truck again. so I roughly pur 240km on the truck and I started getting a code # 6 injector not contributing so I firgure because it was -40c the fuel was gelling.. so I pulled over and turn the truck off erased the code started driving again that code when away then 10 mins after # 3 injector throw the same code. firgure I better go get some anti gelling additive put that in ran er for a hr then that code when away.. a day later took the truck again and noe # 2 injector throw the code plus low Voltage code. so now I though the ficm was toasted, so I had my buddy drop over with his laptop and we ran some test done all ficm test all passed 48v then ran injector test, all injector passed expect #2 it didn't fire on the 3 test we ran.. so I started thinking maybe the wire harnesses for the injectors. so I order one just to try and a new injector for #2..so just wondering if anyone has any other thoughts.. truck had full delete and bully dog tuner..[/size]
There are no tests that we can do to absolutely guarantee that a FICM is good. That requires it to be sent in so that the logic side can be tested. You could try a known good FICM as an alternative ........
You probably should hold off on the PCM, they RARELY fail.
The Stiction eliminator is for the oil side, and that can also be an issue at your temperatures, especially if you are not using an oil that is rated for that cold weather (ie you should be using a 0W40 IMO).
