Hi,
Asking about my 12 EL Limited 4x4. I'm about to pull the motor, I want to remove both driveshafts so I can maneuver the transmission.
I'm not familiar with this style of joint that's on the front driveshaft. It looks like it has 8 or so bolts holding the joint together. Its not a u-joint or cardan joint, more like a CV joint. I'm guessing that I need to mark it and remove the bolts? Someone please educate me on this type of joint, thanks!
It's a CV joint like the rear axles. Just bolts to flange. I wouldn't worry about marking it. It should be self contained unlike some that are open on the back side and kinda fall apart (thinking jeep products)
