I agree it is a cheesy video but isnt this from Powerstroke teck talk w/ARod that i see quoted on here often. If you all care to watch till the end he has an email address you can contact for info on a killswitch Which is the topic. Geesh
So I guess just blindly inquire with this guy to see what he has? Is it so top secret he can't even preview it in his ******* video?
So yeah. I did watch it to the end and found nothing compelling.
The splice may be different for every keyed engine type, push button start, even yr to yr perhaps. And, its entirely possible Ford up and changed wire bundle colors and or connectors middle of a model year run.
I have not gone down under the dash to do this on my 22 SD since I'm happy with the fuse pull method for that twice-a-yr event where I feel insecure about where I'm parking.
I believe in sturdy and durable wire splicing. None of that quick splice connector stuff that car alarm shops use. And under dash access to the key wire may or may not be easy on the SD. I live in rural farm country where trucks dont get stolen, but having spent 20yrs in Dallas, I get the real concern folks have about theft.
I detailed how to find the right wire using a multimeter in earlier post.

Yes. He won't share info about the kit to keep it from getting into the wrong hands. In order to buy the kit you need to send him a picture of you with your truck and proof of registration. The kit is not cheap, so I went the DIY route and figured out a way to prevent starting the truck and it only cost me a few bucks for a switch and some wire and a couple hours of my time. That said, don't ask specifically what I did either because I'm not telling because I think it's prudent to not share the info freely and make it easy for the bad guys to defeat our anti theft efforts.
