23 F250 ordered. Snowmobile in Quebec a lot. A few decades ago there were truck/trailer theft rings issues there. Far less today but want peace of mind.
Any suggestions on a simple manual kill switch option I can have put inside the cab ? Anyone done this ?
Depending on how sophisticated the thieves are, you could simply pull a fuse. Might be enough to make them move on if they can't get the vehicle to start quickly.
What engine? I have the 7.3 gas in 2022. Pull pink 30 amp fuse in slot 40. Removes power from starter solenoid circuit. No crank, just nothing when key is turned when fuse is out.
If you want more security, just insert a blown pink 30 amp fuse in the slot after you pull the good one. That way there isnt an obvious empty fuse slot.
The good news is this engine compartment fuse box is super easy to access!
How are thieves stealing the trucks???
You said this was an issue decades ago, and decades ago stealing them was so much easier than on current trucks.
New trucks can't just be hot-wired like trucks from decades ago could be.

Does this kill power to anything else? For example I'd rather not have to reprogram the radio or use a key to enter the locked truck

I tested it once in driveway. Nothing else powered down or needed resetting that I could tell. No DTC codes either. The fuse and slot number are specific to engine type. And the manual describes what each fused circuit applies to.
Easy to test out yourself since the fuse box cover is so easily reached and removed/replaced.

I have a 2022 with 7.3 as you described. I jotted down the fuse and slot for future reference.
Most of the time the truck is parked inside. But when I go on vacation soon for a month it'll always be outside.

You think they are harder to steal but there are threads about multiple vehicles being stolen around Houston. One right out of a credit card parking lot.
I am shocked how easily thrives can break in or steal these trucks.

Not really a shock to me. I suppose thieves and the dishonest evolve just like the technology.
They’re probably easier to steal now than they used to be. I’ve had two vehicles stolen within a year of each other. From what I understand with all the computer software they either copy your key fob signal or have a spare computer they’ve hacked and swap out your original for that and drive away.
I did Ravelco after the last one. The last one I had a kill switch on. It took them longer but they still got it. Saw the whole thing on tape. Security guard had their face in their phone instead of the computer and cameras. Took them over 30 mins.

fob signals and especially the proximity sensors for automatic unlocking without pressing fob keys are ripe for the picking if someone is nearby waiting to replicate the signal.
two of my fords have fobs and I only use the key to open the door for that reason. Old fashioned? Sure. But transponder keys have always served me well.
I have 2022 Widebody Challenger ScatPack. I had it for one month and we went to Dallas Tx where car theft for these types of cars is very common - needless to say the 3rd day I was there they tried to steal it. Luckily security at the restaurant stopped them. With the Dodge Scats and HellCats they can plug in to the RF hub under the passenger side glove box and make a new key (not sure if that's possible on the fords?) or they access the neutral safety switch and push them out and tow them off.
I do not know if the push to start is similar to the Ford push to start, but I tapped the power wire for the push to start button on my Scat and installed a hidden kill switch. Dodge can also block the RF Hub from accepting new keys - which I had them do also. So with the kill switch on there is no power to the push to start button. I would think this is possible for the Ford as well.
