Cylinder Head Casting Information.

Hello Folks I have been doing extensive research on the 6.8L 2 valve cylinder heads, and their propensity to blow out spark plugs. What I have found is below
F7VE Are the original 97' 99 NON PI heads 4 threads for spark plugs SPARK PLUG BLOWERS
YC2E produced from 2000 -2003 These are PI Heads but still have only 4 threads for spark plugs SPARK PLUG BLOWERS
1C2E produced starting in 2004 These are PI Heads 8 THREADS ALSO CALLED LT Long thread heads MUCH MUCH LESS LIKELY TO BLOW PLUGS due to more threads holding in spark plugs. Many Head Guys claim these heads will never spit a plug
Then There Are 2C2E-A27A-PI heads I CANNOT FIND INFO ON AT ALL But Listed on many Re-manufactured Engine Sites.

Do any of you know anything about 2C2E-A27A-PI Heads?????????????????Are they 4 Thread or 8 Thread??????? When where they produced????????
Why are so many Reman guys listing Cylinder Head cast 1C2E, 2C2E-A27A heads as the heads on their engines??????

Yours is a early production 2000 so it may not have PI heads, I had two 2000 V10s one was early production and it didn't have PI heads. If you have PI heads it will be stamped below the exhaust manifolds. Both of my V10s had the 4 plug threads and I never had any problems but I was carefully when replacing them and checked the torque after 10K miles and then left them alone. I also did them dry just like Ford did from new, I also had both from new so I was the only one to touch them.
