We don't have a wood burner but would love one... and agreed, love the smell of a wood burner AND doing donuts.

I do like the Falken's. They have been great. Wet, dry, even a little snow down in FL that one time! They ride way better than the GY Wranglers, as far as I can tell I can't really hear them unless I turn everything off and listen for them. And they seem to be holding up well. I would have to measure the tread, but they are holding up way better than the Wranglers were at this point. And most importantly, they look dang good too! As far as I am concerned, I will stick with them when it's time to replace them... although, I am curious about the new K03's, and I would be interested to hear your thoughts on those Patagonia's after a while.

My buddy had a set of the AT3Ws on his Chevy dually when he had and loved them. If I ran one set of tires year round, it would probably be the Falkens. He said they wore like iron but obviously that's with proper rotations to extend tire life. It is a bad azz looking tire for sure... love that pic of white in FLA.

The Milestars are one of the off brands he sells. He said folks love them who buy them. And nothing wrong with saving money these days.

Is the spare a Falken also or the brand the factory had on?

I have 30k on my Falkens now, probably about 1/4 of that towing our camper and while I can tell they are worn some, they still have plenty of life left. I will try to remember to get a measurement on the tread later. I typically run them around 58 psi and I have rotated them every 5k miles for the first 20k, however, its been 10k since I have rotated them now so I am going to talk to the front desk at the campground today and ask them if it's ok that I just do a tire rotation in my spot and hopefully do that next week.

And I have heard nothing but good things about the Milestars either. Of course most of that is coming from Matt's channel... I have seem them in the wild in FL too though on random vehicles. They are a good looking tire.

My spare is the OE GY Wrangler, never been used. So, while the Falkens are an inch taller, the wear on the Falkens have likely put it closer by now. I wouldn't run it indefinitely but I wouldn't hesitate to run the GY if I needed too... I just couldn't spend the extra money when there was a perfectly good tire still available to me...

I ordered some Bilstein 4600's.
Since there is a place for an Allen wrench to hold the shaft, which would make it hard to use a torque wrench and socket on the nut, I suppose you can hold the top shaft from turning by grabbing hold of the top section of the shock with your hand to keep from turning so as to be able to put a socket with torque wrench on the nut.

Let us know what you think. Mine seems to bounce some, going over bumps I mean, but I guess I got used to it driving on the springs only...

I'm going to have to get used to functioning shock absorbers again. I like it better than riding on just springs, alright...

Ok,
Do you have the 4600's on a F350?

I'm hoping they will be comparable to the stock Rancho's and not more stiff.

I do not... I finally replaced my stocker Ranchos with Monroe Reflex shocks. I don't haul anything so figured a OEM style shock would be fine. I waited waayyyy too long to replace mine. Never again.

I had my shocks put on today.

I would say the Bilstein 4600's are about like the stock Ranchos when they were new.

New Cab/Frame bushings, new steering parts and new shocks. Feels like new ride.

Just installed my Bilstein steering dampner. It definitely improves the ride. The factory dampner had resistance when I pushed it in but it never came back out... it's sitting by the old shocks. Looks like oil leaked out of it.

I'm feeling a little movement, not all the time, at speed and while in turns at speed so I'm thinking my track bar bushing and ball joint will be next. Going to go with an Apex Chassis track bar ball joint and SPEs track bar bushing.

All nice and greasy under there... Better than rusty for a rust belt truck.
