Had an appointment at the VA this morning at 10am with the prosthetics department regarding a new scooter. The one I have had been discontinued, so they cannot order parts for it. They showed me two different scooters, one a full size like my current one, but made by a different company. It looked like a small golf cart. However, it did not have rear view mirrors, so I did not like it. They showed me a Pride Victory model that is considered a medium frame scooter. I liked that one, but she then showed me the "Sport" version which has adjustable shocks for a smoother ride. And since it is made by Pride Mobility, I can just swap my mirrors and rear basket to it instead of ordering new ones. I checked the overall length of both online and they both claim to be 47" long. However, in the room where she had the demo it looked shorter than mine. Anyway, I decided to get that one, and asked if they can get it in blue instead of red. She told me she will order a blue one, but there are no guarantees a blue one will arrive. Also need to upgrade the seat to a 20" wide seat which is an option. She said it will take 6-8 weeks to arrive. Which is about how long mine took to get to me. They will bring it out to me and set it up. Also, they do not take anything back, so I will call AmVets to come pick up the old one when the new one arrives. They are right down the street from me, but if I ride my old one down there, I have no way of getting back home.

This is what it will look like.
It shows turn signals on this one, but the demo didn't have them, and there is no option to order them so I am hoping the demo is an early model.

Happy Saturday Nor Cal! Supposed to rain all weekend. Looks like I will get wet as I need to go to the store for milk.

I do not envy those PG&E folks doing all the repairs. They are doing a pretty good job in spite of a lot (and that is an understatement) of obstacles.

We registered 1.4” at the house today with 13.3” since the first. What really was rough was the wind blowing down the river when I went out. It moved the Bronco a foot or more as I crossed the bridges.

Good luck on trying to find an open end box wrench to adjust ’90 Ford headlights. A 4mm/5-32 wrench is unobtanium locally 🤬. At least the headlights are too low right now.

We've measured 29" of rain since the beginning of December; roughly 14-1/2" each month, but January is still counting. The actual rain amount might be double that, as our rain gauge gets a LOT of rain blown "over the top", and when we see high winds, the rain gauge, just stops counting in spite of the fact that it is torrential out there.

There's a tool for that. I bought it once. Then lost it, before I got a chance to use it.

I am not the demographic they market themselves to. Supposedly known nationwide, I've never heard of it. They have 1 location. And a dress code. I will not be going there.

They have 1 location. You (and I) are not in their marketing demographic. We did not get any coupons in the mail.

And their dress code tells me that I am not welcome.

???????

I won’t even go to Buffalo Wild Wings because I think it’s a waste. But dress code for fair food???

We are in for a stretch of good weather up here in the North, so I May have to mow soon.🙄. How I miss living at 5000+ foot elevation where the grass stops growing in November.😂

I have logged 14.6” of rain for January so far.

Weather has been good here these past few days. A wee bit on the cold side, but I can live with that.
