Ok,
I’ve always called that the yoak, I’ve had the drive shaft out several times and lubed the splines with the Motorcraft white Teflon/Lithium grease, not sure what else would be wrong with it, tight fit when it goes back on, thanks

I guess you can eliminate a dry slip joint.
