Well I took my truck in to my dealer with 7047 miles on the clock, I was having this annoying squeak coming from the rear of my truck. It was speed related....getting higher pitched with higher speeds. For the life of me I couldn't figure it out so I drove to my dealer yesterday afternoon. They have a service department open till 9 pm. Well as I was pulling into the service bay, it was really squeaking so fortunately I didn't have to "prove my noise"
Now here's the the Bill Engvall moment.....as I'm getting out of my truck the service writer comes up to me and says "sounds like you've got a squeak". (I just couldn't come up with something to throw back at him)
Anyway they took it for a test drive to "confirm the presense of the noise"...well duh they all heard it as I pulled in...... Upon inspection they found that the "drivers side rear wheel brake caliper anti-rattle clip was misaligined. Clip removed, straightned and replaced. Truck taken for test drive again, no presense of squeak detected.
Overall, I plesent "visit" to my dealer. Work was fairly prompt. They did give me a ride home (about 20 miles) and when the truck was ready (about 4 hours later they sent a courtesy vehicle to pick me up (I didn't have to even ask.....way cool!!)
Also doesn't appear that they did any thing else, like "flashing"....lol
I'll agree with you there.......they really have their customer service straight, I'm a little more fortunate in that "they know about/of me REAL WELL"
