From post 6:
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...ed1e488a3.jpeg

F82 = F800, 25,000 lbs GVWR. Notes say '58/'59 7,000 lb front axle and hydraulic brakes. Since this is a '57, this is another tag vs. MPC mystery

F = 332 4V Lincoln derived Y-block gas V8, 187 net HP @ 3600 RPM

7 = Model Year 1957

H = Detroit Truck Plant

19182 = Serial number.

25000 = GVW

192 = 192 inch wheelbase

187 3600 = net HP, see above

5EHDD = I do not find that code in the limited MPC copy I have. "5MDD" is listed as a direct drive 5 speed, either Clark 250V or New Process 540. Your trans should have some identifying info on it--casting numbers or symbols.

717
71 = Not shown for '57, but shows as a two speed for '58/'59, with 6.50 / 8.87 ratios

7 = Should be a front axle code, but no numerical codes are shown in the info I have.

EDIT: That's all wrong--for this year, 717 is the ratio. The other identifying info is stamped on the axle center section and driver side housing.

P = Not shown, listing is probably incomplete.

19C23-3848 = No idea, nothing like that shows.

% = that appears under DSO, or District Sales Office. No symbol like that appears in any MPC for any year, so again, not much help.

Your warranty tag is affixed with screws. As OEM, they use a rivet that is made to be tamper proof. So someone probably brought that tag over to a new door--if it's on the door.

Sorry for the limited info.

EDIT: OTHER MEMBERS POINT OUT THE WARRANTY TAG DID USE SCREWS FOR THIS MODEL YEAR.

Master Parts Catalog. There have been various errors in the MPC as well as typo errors on the warranty plates. When there is an inconsistency between the two or one or the other and the truck itself, it's a mystery.

Me being in the line of work I’m in, I thought the screws was odd. I guess I will have to contact NICB and get the location of the secondary (hidden) VIN

Possibly on the passenger side frame rail--top or inside--near the front axle. As far back as under the cab.

Hard to find under the rust.....
