With the levers lined up the tube should come out. It may be possible that the tube is flared out at the bottom which may be the reason it will not pull out. Try gripping the top of the tube with some Vise grip pliers and try to pry up and have someone hit the bottom of the tube with a hammer and a tool that puts pressure evenly on the tube.
