If you have a 250/350 XL model with the sealed beam lights and wanted something better you should check out Holley Retrobrights. Easy to install and the output is awesome! They don't even compare to the originals. Mine didn't even require any aiming tweaking. Money well spent imo. Should have done it sooner. Hope this helps someone.

Having owned an 04 XL SD with sealed beams I can appreciate any improvement available. Mine were terrible for night driving and I eventually went to Cibe sealed beam replacements with halogen bulbs. The Holly's look real good as a replacement.
You can buy new composite headlights and put in LED bulbs for 1/2 the cost of those Hollys. If you have to keep the sealed beam look many others make led sealed beams for under 100. ex:
I bought a few sets of these. I’m doing the opposite and goig from the composite to these. My composites are freaking horrible. I’m also making my own harness for the headlights.
I'm looking for an update from anyone who has more recently changed their sealed beams to LED. I'd like to maintain a factory look. I need to get rid of the SBs on my 2010 F250 Super Duty asap. I recently installed
Led bulbs in another vehicle (not a truck) and was shocked out how good they perform. I'd like to find a lens upgrade that will allow me to install led bulbs that are plug and play (except for wire connector) like the Oxilams. I looked at the
If I cannot find something I like I may go with these LEDs, as they have good reviews on light output and cutoffs preventing glare to other drivers. I prefer the look of original Halogen glass though.
Thoughts?
I just grabbed the HWStars on Black Friday deal for about 77 shipped. The hardest part about swapping in my 09 XL was that the trim hardware all rotted. Had to cut off lower screws which are very hard to reach with tools. Came to realize can remove the bolts to take the whole assembly out after cracking the top enough to pull the side marker and turnsignal bulb holders. Need to adjust the aim but initial impression is certainly an improvement over the old stock, TBD though on longevity and how they work with the light color. Been in truck a week and its not my daily haven't driven at night yet.
