TPMS Delete

My Googlefu stinks so I am guessing there is an answer here already so I will apologize in advance. I have 2011 Super Duty, F250 and I bought a pair of take off wheels to mount studded tires on. They do not have TPMS sensors in them. Obviously that angers the TPMS system and it complains constantly. Annoying. ALSO, one of the sensors on the other rims says low tire pressure no matter what pressure it is and it is a new sensor to resolve the same complaint , so not fixed. Is there a code in Forescan I can use to disable the TPMS? I don't want it at all as I am a big boy and can check my tire pressures regularly.

The sensors are $20-$30 at Rock Auto. My advice would be to repair the system instead if trying to delete it.

Yes. It's under the body control module. I turned mine to 0psi when I installed aftermarket wheels/tires.

Forscan was able to turn off the TPMS on my 2010 F250, I assume it'll work on a 2011 as well, but there are quite a few differences between the 2010 and 2011 models, so maybe.

I turned my TMPS system off in my '16 with Forscan. Problem solved. I loathe those TPMS systems. They only operate correctly part of the time and serve no purpose in my opinion. I was glad to be able to be rid of it.

Thanks to all of you that have responded. This is a rural farm truck and making the TPMS system work is really kind of dumb. I replaced a "bad" sensor and it programs in but still says the tire is underinflated when it's not. Changing the sensor did not fix it so it's time to just make it go to sleep.

This x1000.

I disabled my '11 with Forscan. You will need to pay for the extended license. You can choose the least expensive option ($10?) if you don't plan to use it much after this.

I was glad to see that light go away. I'll often run ~50 in the rear tires if empty and go up to 70/80 as needed for loads and towing.

Or you can run overinflated and send the tire guy's kids through college with crowning.....

Truly baffling we all somehow survived prior to TPMS....????? What will they think of next? Antibacterial soap? CRAZY talk!!!!

That's odd, I was able to make the changes with the free (2-month trial) license.

I know... checking the air in your own tires? Pttthhhhhhh! Bonkers!

I hate TPMS with a passion. Will be zapping it tomorrow. I paid the big fee for Forescan so I can do all the stuffz. Everything I own is Ford... I think by accident but not sure... so it has come in handy.
