no I had no idea that they had them.............what to do now????
You can remove them from your old rims and re-install them on your new rims.I read a thread here where they used some sort of epoxy to glue them to the rim then used tie straps to make sure they stayed secure. After you re-install them Ford can clear the light on your dash.

is there a way we can reset the light ourselves. i just picked up an 08 yesterday and immediately removed the 18"s. I put my blizzaks and winter wheels on ....the light is not my friend with only 120 miles on her.

Not unless you re-installed the sensors. If you did, then Ford can clear the code.
We took aftermaket wheels which we had on an '04 Expedition (no sensors), and put them on an '07 Expy (with sensors). The warning light came on. Les Schwab, a local tire store, took the sensors off of the '07's wheels and put them on the older wheels which we were keeping on the new Expedition. We had to order a new attachment kit from our Ford dealer which consisted of straps and epoxy. The warning light cleared by driving around on them a little.
the easiest way around it if you dont want to have the tires un-mounted, and then re-mounted, is just to put the sensors inside a PVC tube, and pressurize the tube to the computer thinks they are inside the wheels correctly. then just hide the tube somewhere and your all set.
