Injector pulse width

I have a 2004 f250 powerstroke 6.0 and my injector pulse width is jumping from around 1000us to over 100000 and I don't know why. The engine seems fine, drives good, no smoke or codes. Anyone know what would cause this and if I should be considered about it?

Does it do this all the time and at any temp or just certain times/temps?

I'd keep an eye on my FICM LPower and FICM MPower voltages.

Constantly. Hot, cold, idle, under load. Always oscillating about every half second, which I believe is the input for the app reading the ecm. The voltages are steady. Im starting to think its an issue with the reading software.

Easy test - just download Forscan app ($5) and run it instead of Torque. You've already got the bluetooth dongle.

Can you change your settings in Torque to read mS instead of uS?

Keep us updated. I'm interested to see what you find.

I had forscan and hated it, thats why I use torque pro.

Cleaned the data cash and replaced the pid and all is well. The lesson here is get a second opinion on odd pids.

If you have both Torque Pro and ForScan, then there are your two opinions!

I run my Edge CTS2 Insight the majority of the time to keep an eye on things. The only time I don't is when I'm using the laptop with Forscan when i'm troubleshooting something. Forscan has WAY more options for PIDs than the Edge does!

Running codes on ForScan isn't any harder than using Torque Pro ............ I have both also.

Also glad you are happy with the troubleshooting resolution.

I have a 2002 7.3 that is having the same issue. By chance did you ever determine the culprit? I am having a heck of a time trying to learn and diagnose injector pulse width. Thanks much...
