Power tailgate swap

My non power tailgate is dented and I have a chance to get a power tailgate for free. Has anyone ever done this swap or know if it can be done to work on a non power tailgate truck? I hate to pass this up because it is my same color and in great shape. I know most of the money would come from buying the tailgate. Is it possible to buy the correct harness to make it work. I know right away I wouldn’t have the correct key fob but could it be make just to open by just hitting the button on the tailgate itself?

You do not have any info about what YM so it's difficult to answer the questions. This is from a YM 2020. The circuit does involve the BCM so I am guessing you'll need to use FORScan.
