Friend of mine has a 2014 FX4 and the headlights are being very weird. When the headlights are turned to on or auto they work just fine but the passenger side headlight is ALWAYS on. When the headlights are turned off, when auto is on but it’s daylight, and when the ignition is off it always stays on. We have to remove and replace fuse 15 in the fuse box under the hood any time we turn the headlights on or off. What could be the cause of this?
Factory HID lights?
I ask because after looking at the wiring book for 2014, the option would be a bad Body Control Module because that is where the "power" feed splits on both HID and standard lights.
With HID there is a constant battery feed to run the shutter solenoid.
My guess would be a pinched wire/harness near the light unit.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

The passenger headlight was replaced after a small accident a few years ago but the problem has only been in the past 6 months ago. It is a factory HID pulled from another pickup.
The headlights on that truck are indeed computer controlled, would need to pull codes from ALL modules, particularly BCM and SCCM modules as both have functions for them. The code(s) stored are the starting point for diagnosis.
