Replacement Accelerator/Throttle Cable
I just discovered that my accelerator cable (where it connects to the throttle body) has a lot of play.
I’ve seen a few YouTube videos on how to adjust it, but mine doesn’t have the two adjuster nuts, and I don’t see any other way to adjust the cable. So my next thought was to replace the cable all together. However, I can’t seem to find this cable anywhere online. I’ve checked RockAuto, Amazon, AutoZone, O’Reillys, NAPA, and Advanced Auto Parts. I can’t find it anywhere!
I’m not sure what to do at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I took a short video and put it on YouTube so I could share it here:
Another option is to put zip ties on the pedal end of the cable to take up the slack.
When installing an Accufab throttle body the linkage is not quite right for a V10 Excursion and results in about 5/8" of cable slack.
I used a 3D printed spacer to take up the 3/4" of slack after installing the new throttle body.

thanks for your input! I checked down by the pedal and there was no slack…It’s weird. All the slack seems to be up by the throttle body.
