I have recently been trying to split my obdii port so I can run my old Edge cts and Forscan at the same time. I purchased the bbfly spliter linked below and have had no luck achieving a dual connection. Whenever I try to connect my obdii reader, linked below, to Forscan my Edge blanks out. My SWAG is that the wifi connection is robbing power that shuts down the Edge. I have tried connecting the Edge both ways and still no luck. Has anyone tried this and had success? If so, what splitter did u use and what was the particular setup and sequence on starting. Thanks.
I also tried to do this a few years back with my Edge to read EGT and a Samsung 10"tablet for the TorquePro app and all they did was fight with each other. I was hoping to save purchasing an EGT gauge. I was never successful.
Thanks Rob, I was afraid of that. Maybe someone has had better luck than us. You will need a probe and either a gauge or the Edge EAS system to read EGTs. PCM does not monitor EGTs, at least not on my 2004. I went with the Edge EAS EGT kit.
Get ahold of a telematics vendor like Verizon. We gps a large section of my works fleet while i do not install i do occasionally remove the units they connect to the OBDII port and have a pigtail plug to mount in place of the original OBD port.

Runnin a little slow today, not quite comprehendin what yur sayin. Is there a split with this setup? Is the pigtail spliced into the obdii wirin? Got any pics? Thanks for the reply!!!
I think the problem at least in my case is the Banks iDash and either Torque Pro or Forscan are trying to access the same data at the same time from the PCM and it can't handle it. Don't think GPS accesses the same data as those do.
A couple of years ago I posted the question if a splitter would work. Don't remember who responded but that was the members reply and after trying it I believe he is correct. Tried it and got some error codes I could not clear, had to turn ignition off and disconnect one device. On startup everything was fine, tried again with same result.
Here my post from 2019 asking if a splitter could be used. At the time I had the Banks iQ display that died https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...lay-tuner.html
What if you made your own splitter? Get an extra OBD II male plug and splice it with the two female sockets, using small diodes for the data link connections. That way there is no feedback or cross talk between scanner/monitor. Power should not be an issue, Just the data. This is all theoretical since I have not tried this.
