So I installed a performance world 329021 harness and a ididit style column. For some reason indicators don’t work. I did a continuity check on wires starting inside column at the switch all way to front and rear wires. Continuity is good. I checked the fuse as well as I tested the flashing module by removing it and wiring a bulb directly to it. It worked. So when I put ignition on nothing happens. I put a volt meter on turn signal wire at end and nothing. I also don’t hear flasher working. So no clue as to what’s going on.
Unfortunately no. Regular bulbs.
i am totally stumped. Performance world won’t provide technical help. Fair enough they would be spending their whole time trying to sort out wiring issues.
Continuity obviously only tells you the wire is not broken, which on a new harness should not be an issue. You said you checked for voltage on the end of the wire and found none, I'm assuming you mean the bulb end, there again that does not tell you much. You need to verify you have power coming into the turn signal switch and trace the power through the switch. If your using a standard flasher it is usually wired into the power lead and breaks(flashes) the circuit with a bi-metal switch, that way it can work both sides with a single flasher. A simple test light is the easiest way for troubleshooting this issue.

As a follow on to truckemtnfords comment...do you have brake lights? If not, then your problem lies in that circuit...the flasher opens and closes the circuit to the brake light so if there is no brake light then there can be no turn signal. Good luck....
I think I need your explanation dumbed down. Step by step.
whhat I did do is I checked that I had power going into column switch. I do it’s fed by gm connector Wire k. So wires are intact and power going through to steering column. Could it be the flasher unit in the fuse box even though I seemed to get them to work when independently tested.
what else should I try. Please simple directions. Thank you
I think I sorted one thing. I had my brake switch power on one post and ground on other so when I applied brake it opened circuit and shorted because was grounded to frame. Now have return wire to column
question. I have is with gm column connector. Reading few different things. I seem to have constant power to k. Which seems right as those are hazard. However I don’t seem to have switched power to L which is turn signal switch. Should there be power to that
Yes, turn signals need keyed power. Brake lights can be either keyed or constant, it varies by vehicle and manufacturer, I prefer keyed. You wired it so you have your choice.
