Hey gang.... About a week ago The only way I could get the right front turn signal to blink was if the stearing column was in the top tilt position. If I lower the wheel I get the fast blink. When the fast blink happens there is no dash indicator only the fast click.
Could this be a loose wire, flasher unit or multi swithch?
Can't be the flasher if moving the tilt makes it work. Probably a wire shorting in the column or an intermittant open but you'll have to pull it apart to see.
A short circuit on the turn signal circuit won't usually blow the fuse because the flasher limits the current passing through it. It will "blink" rapidly because of the increased current. The newer vehicles flash at double speed to tell you there's a bulb out.
Wires will only flex just so many times before they break.
