Hey Folks, I’m not an expert and I need help, My engine is shot on my ‘60 f250 4x4 (292 v8) and I was wondering if the Warner t-98a transmission will fit an ‘85 302 small block without any adjustments. I need to know as soon as possible, very time sensitive as I have I have a motor lined up to buy. Just need to know if the bell housing will line up, or if I need to do something to get it to.
Could always cut out the stock trans crossmember & fab up a custom one to use a C6 or T5 behind the 302. I did this to swap from the 292/T98 to a 400/C6. Engine mounts were a little difficult, but the trans crossmember was fairly straightforward. Alternately, I still have the old 292 out of mine. It's been sitting on a stand for several years, but was running when I pulled it. If you're not too far away, it might work out.

Yeah..... probably not going to work - I'm in Amarillo TX.
Oh well, I have what I believe to be a working Lincoln 317 y block, I'm pretty sure those swap right in. Just have to get it started. I tried hooking some wires up to it but I'm sure I did something wrong. Got spark on the battery though
