03 6.0. injectors was leaking fuel in pan. put new injectors in with fresh oil. truck runs fine when code injectors fire right. gets warm 5 miss. I changed 2 on right side again just to see. still does same thing. every now and then different injectors show up. I swapped ficm with another one no change. swapped injector harness no change. ipr is 21%. icp is 640. fuel pressure 60 psi. no programmer on it. no smoke out pipe.ficm voltage 48v.
wasn't code could see them missing on computer. but no change after changing them. now code for number 6 is showing up. sometimes 8 will be missing along with 3. I'm thinking it's not the injectors. gonna try another icp and ipr. wondering if maybe it's the cam or crank sensor fishy. no codes for them but I'm not afraid to try different ones. I would think if it was injectors would do it all the time. it's perfect cold.
Still might be the injectors. Where did you purchase them from?
My point in the question about the codes was mainly if you saw issues with the two injectors that you recently installed. Clearly you saw issues with the previous injectors in those cylinders - enough so that you replaced them. So have those observed issues repeated themselves on those two newly installed injectors - after replacement? I know you said "no change" in the post above, but I just didn't know what that meant specifically.
Now that you have a code, please post the code number, or at least tell us if it is electrical or contribution.
Which two injectors did you recently change.....not #3 was it?
Is it a contribution test (power balance test) that you are doing, or a relative compression test? Do you have IDS?
it's cyclinder 6 contribution. injectors came from pennsacola diesel. I m using a snap on solus pro scanner. gonna get back on it and look at more stuff when cold the compare when hot. thanks for replying

If you want, try to get a statement from them.
Maybe they will answer you.
Unfortunately, I have not received a reply.
