69 b600 duovac split system to hydro boost conversion questions
I have a 69 bluebird bus on an f600 chassis. It cam with dual hydro vac system. Drums all around. I'm having issues with one of my boosters, piston return spring broken and fluid filled. Due to the scarcity of these parts a.k.a non existent, I want to go a different route.
My current thoughts are; 83 f600 hydrobooster and same year m/c. I'm wondering if my thoughts are correct on just being able to put that combo on the firewall, plumb the lines in conjunction with a proportioning valve and I should.be good to go in theory correct? If that is correct, next question is how bout the power steering hookup for the booster, can I just tee into the line between the pump and gearbox?
Any and all help and ideas are appreciated. I'm really just trying to get away from the lack of parts for stock setup. Retain great brakes and not kill my wallet. Thanks again.
