Early 1999 (8/98) F350 4x4 Crew, 7.3 Power Stroke turbo, 4R100, 243k
I replaced the downpipe on my truck and now have a constant SES light. I installed a Diamond Eye 4" aluminized downpipe from Riffraff. Truck seems to be running well enough, lots quieter.
All connections removed were properly replaced. I did disconnect the batteries. I removed the passenger side intercooler pipe and replaced it as I found it. I've only put about 12 miles on it thus far.
As for shooting in the dark, what about the MAP sensor above the blower fan box on the passenger side, is it plugged in? What about the MAT sensor on the spider, did it get bumped or broken? Check the UVCH connectors at the middle of each valve cover. Did you lean on anything and maybe break a connector?
The MAP connection on the passenger side is crunchy, I fixed it place with zip ties. Sounds like a good place to start, and I'll look into replacing the entire harness if it's available. I don't recall contact with the UVCH connections, but I'll check those as well. My inspection sticker is up at the end of this month.
Thanks for the responses, I'll take some pics of the EC tomorrow.
