Intercooler/Turbo pipe

While replacing my power steering line today I noticed the down pipe from the turbo to the intercooler had been resting against the line fitting and rubbed a hole in the turbo pipe. All the replacement pipe I'm finding are 4in and the stock is 3. My question is, should is use the 4in pipe or go with the stock 3? No other performance mods are on the truck. Any advice on this would be great.

Lol, duct tape fixes everything right? Didn't see the need for the 4in pipe since I'm still running stock exhaust. Truck is down for a few days either way since the dealership will have to order it. It does still have the foil on, I'll try and post a pic later

I had a friend order one from the dealer when his truck went in. I thought he was nuts for the price it cost. Tell the dealer your going to take it to a welding shop and have it welded. About $20.oo, thats alot cheaper then there price. Hell I'll weld it up for half the price they want for a new one if you just want to spend money! Good luck,
Chet

Timmyboy, why do you want foil. Mine came without foil new and there's no different in sound either way. The sound comes from the intake.

Oh I'm not letting the stealership do the work, lol. Truck is torn down in my driveway. Dealership was the only place I could find that can get the stock pipe. Quoted me around $50 for the pipe, so that sounded pretty decent. Going by in the morning to make sure its the right one before I have them order it.

Well, update, dealership price on the pipe was not $50, not sure what the guy was looking at on but was $150 to order it. Had a promotional coupon the local dealership sent out for 20% off a parts order so that helped a little.

(Timmybay) Never heard that on mine, e99, and they don't have foil. Now the WW it came with that drove me nuts on the freeway. The dealer did something because I B-----d when I bought it new. I can still here it at wot but way better.
