Howdy All,
Starting to put the interior back in the truck. The previous owner broke the speedometer glass bezel when they removed it. I was able to buy a new one from LMC however they were out of the seal that goes between the glass and the panel (item 5 below). I can't seem to find it anywhere. Is it anything special or can I just use black rtv ?

Is there an estimated “back in stock” date? I’d be inclined to be patient and wait on the right material. If someone chimes in with a part number, you can search on RearCounter or PartsVoice.
Thanks for the responses.
LMC doesn't have a date for when it will be back in stock so I may just go the RTV route. I'm fixing this truck to be a driver and not a show truck so I don't mind to go the rtv route.
I used some stuff they call "Dum-Dum" at the body shop. Looks like strips of black licorice. Sticky, stretchy. Seems like a better alternative than trying to remove rtv at a later date.
I think Dum-Dum is the same as butyl rubber. That stuff comes in caulking tubes, strips, tape, rolls, sheets, etc. They make gloves out of it. Probably many more things that I'd ever realize. Black and sticky/stretchy in some forms. Grab a golf ball sized blob of it and on a piece of parchment paper you can roll it under your hand to make a custom sized piece of licorice to use around the edge of the glass. I say on parchment paper just so you have a nice non-stick surface. That stuff will pick up any debris so doing it on a dirty workbench probably not the best.
Although there are a number of options in securing the round speedo to the panel, sorry , though I made the thread fairly clear, I did use the instrument panel sear and then cut to the desired length.
Thanks for all of the ideas.
I was talking with the guy I bought the truck from and he has a roll of the butyl rubber tape that he's been using to restore his '66 step-side.
He's going to bring some over so I can fix my speedometer.
Next is the gas tank. It needs a lot of cleaning as they inside is full of rust flakes.
