Rear Window seal

I am replacing the rear window in my 84 Ford F150. It is a slider, but broken and I am replacing with a solid glass, which I already have. The seal is still there. If I remove the seal, will I be able to get a new one? I am getting a glass company to install it, they should install a new seal, right?

No, they won't put on a new seal unless you buy it. You should have gotten the seal when you got the glass. Most junkyards cut the seal to remove the glass, but it's easy to get them out together.

The seal should be the same for slider or solid glass, just tell the glass co to re-use it.

Careful. givin the year and being weathered, the factory seal is prabably no good. mine went right after i put a slider in so i yanked it out and its now good as new. it started leaking in the both bottom corners. I hope this helps good luck
