92 5.8 with e street 1.90 heads. I was replacing the intake manifold and got carried away, now she's going get the air pump, egr, and anything that was hooked up to the intake bc all my lines snapped. I need this truck to pass inspection, meaning no cel. There has to be away to truck the system without running into spark knock or a lose in power
any tips would be helpful everything I can find online says rip ot off and ignore the light lol
OBD I, cant be lied to, it looks for open or closed, iall the gadets say closed all the time, you will get code for failure to open, no way around it, put it back, before you start loozin parts that are very hard to find-->93 F150 351w vacuum line replacement - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
What broke? If it's just the crappy plastic vacuum lines, yeah, they do that. Bulk rubber line is cheap and easy once you figure out what's supposed to hook where.
I don't have any of the emissions parts and don't want to buy much more, to be road legal everything need to be "functional" they don't look under tye hood or anything buy they check to make sure the cel bulb is working but it can't stay on, throwing a code
For them to turn the CEL on they have to open the hood, and connect to diagnostic port, the vacuum link I posted, will show you how, unless you removed the EGR, then all bets are off that CEL wil not come on.
No I mean when you go to start the car, all the dashboard lights come on, it has to work then that's it
Then you could cheat the bulb with a timer or something dumb like that... but you should really listen to the people trying to help you. You THINK youre doing the best thing but you wont even consider the expertise and experience of people who have trucks like you, have been in your spot, and also have learned a LOT about how it all works.
