New to me 1979 f150 with a 351m. Just pulled the valve covers to find 2 dropped push rods on #1. Gonna pull the rockers and try to fish them out. Assuming they’re not bent, is
a valve job my next step?
You can see one of the push rods in the pic. The other one I can see down in the valley through an opening in the head. I'll remove that first rocker to remove the rod and then try to fish the other one out w/ a magnet. Stay tuned. I also have a borescope that I can use to see if the lifters are still there or damaged.
